All baby clothes and blankets are made using either a wool blend (softer on Babies Skin) or acrylic or bamboo, which is very easy to clean with warm machine wash.
I prefer to use the softest yarn which is lighter weighted usually in 8ply.
Having a touch allergy to sheep wool I appreciate how the product feels against the skin.
